My Kenmore gas dryer (model number 110.74672400) hums when I press the start button (as if it will start) but that nothing happens. The dryer does not tumble or heat. Help!

Your belt probably broke. Easy fix if you want to do it yourself. There are probably two plastic covers on either side of the cycle selection board, remove them with a flat blade screwdriver. There should be a screw underneath the plastic cover, remove them. Flip the top (cycle selector board) over gently. Place a flat blade screwdriver in the front right and left corners and try and lift gently the top should have clips that pop loose with a little persuasion. Put that out of your way. Now you should be able to get to the screws that will let you take the front off. THe front lifts to get off. There are clips at the bottom usually that make you lift the front up to get it off. Be sure and unplug the door switch. While you're there. The drum will need to be lifted a bit and it should come off if you need to get back behind/under the drum to remove the old belt. You will need your make and model to get a new belt if that is it. But I am pretty sure this is your problem (been there done that). If that is not it let us know!

Thanks I will try to replace the belt. If it still doesn't work I will get back to you. I appreciate your help.
