I have had hair extensions since April. They are to the middle of my back, and I get new hair put on when needed. I was never taught properly how to take care of the hair. I wash it every 3 days, my scalp is so itchy all the time and it is very flaky. It also smells. Right after I wash it and blowdry it. How do I solve this problem, it's embarrassing and I need to know how to wash it and what to wash it with also, like a product name? Someone help please. Thank you

Not to be rude, but when you get your hair extensions... Why didn't they explain to you then?
Its been awhile since I was in Cosmetology class, but is it real hair or synthetic?
Not that I'm really sure it makes a difference.. but at least I can help search on the internet about it.

Try using a dry shampoo between your shampoos. There is a number of different ones like Oscar Blonde, Ojon, Sammy, and some others. Sammy is probably the cheapest, its around $6 to $7. Some of them are a spray and some are a powder. ( I'd recommend the spray.) They're easy to use.. . You just spray the product on the roots to absorb the oil and dirt and brush through the ends. Of course be careful brushing through since you have extensions. This will keep the smell and itchy feeling from bothering you. Hope this helps!
