So I started birth control about two months ago last month I was about 2 weeks late for my period and it wasn't that much at all. My ex and me were sexually active w/o a condom this month I thought I started my period because the first day I did have blood and something actually came out of me kind of like skin or something then the next few days it was nothing but brown discharge. I have still yet to have my period I took a home pregnancy test about 2 twos ago and it came back negative. Any advice?

I wouldn't worry because when you start on the pill your period gets lighter. My doctor told me if the pill works really well sometimes you won't have period. I've called him when I had the same thing happen to me.

So you don't think I have anything to worry about even if its just brown discharge coming out? I've had unnormal cramps as well every now and then but no sore breast I've had horrible head aches that alieve doesn't help

You could call your doctor if you want and see what he/she has to say but I wouldn't worry. The brown discharge could very well be the end of your period. If it's bright red the whole time then it would be time to worry- according to my doctor. I didn't ask why though because that's never happened to me

This happened to me when I first began taking birth control. The reason why it is a brownish color is because it is old blood that has been sitting inside of you that is discharging. When it is bright red that means that it is new blood. I have bad cramps now that I have started the pill, but never had them before. I take three tylenol extra strength at a time. As for the headaches, they are probably your body getting used to the new hormones that are being put into it. Just remember that you need to take your birth control everyday at the same time. If you miss any doses you can get pregnant. That is how I got pregnant with my daughter.
