My ice maker stopped working , no water flow, not even the sound of the ice maker trying to work?

If you are convinced the switch in your refrigerator is in the "ON" position, and after waiting for a reasonable time for water to charge the line, then its time to pull the fridge out from the wall, go behind and check whether there is, in fact, water in the line. Sometimes, when a fridge is pushed back into a wall crevice, the small copper tubing is pinched and might shut off the water ever reaching the ice unit.
When you bring it out from the wall, maybe leave it there and see if the unit performs there. When you push it back, make sure the line is loose and doesn't get run over or twisted.

Make sure too, the valve that conrols the flow in the basement to the refrigerator is turned in line with the flow. Sometimes, a simple check valve is installed so you can just turn that and see if there is water up to that point.
Then any work can be begun at that point and not waste time going back.

Having done what you can, then call the manufacturer or the dealer who sold you the unit... or any dealer that sells your particular brand of fridge and ask for help.

You may need a service call from a reputable repair depot if all else fails.

But... do what many people don't do... READ YOUR MANUAL... it could answer your questions real quick. Then you don't have to feel so silly in asking for help.
I know... I had the same problem... and got it solved when the dealer pointed out the page that answers my question.
