Sure you can fix it yourself. First take all standing water out of the bottom of the machine. Then locate the screen in the rear of the bottom. Remove the screen and clean out all the built up goo with your fingers. Remove as much as you can. Then take a regular plunger and plunge this area. The water will spurt up the middle tower (this is normal). Then remove more of the goo. Turn on the machine and see if it will drain and wash properly. If not, then redo the procedure. Be sure to put the screen back in place before you test drive the machine as it has a safety feature that won't allow the machine to properly drain unless the screen is in place. This should work.

Thank you Twink for replying, I already took the water out and in the back(inside of dishwasher) I took the cover off and cleaned that all out but I wasn't sure how to get the screen off, its down inside the draining area has a pin holding it together,so if I get the pin out the screen should coming out to them I don't want to do ant thing to make it whr?
I tried to plunge it to back I thing my plunger was to big no good seal.
Well will take again tomorrow thanks again

Usually the screen is held on with screws (at least mine is) and I have a GE Nautilus. May I recommend you take a small plunger (the smallest you can buy) and saw the handle off so that it will fit inside the dishwasher. My son sawed our small plunger off and he left about 12" of the wooden handle on the rubber cup. The trick is to dislodge all the goo so that the drain will work properly. You might need to take your fingers and probe down into the drain. It's amazing what goo I got out of my drain inside the dishwasher from 5 years of build up. I was afraid I would have to buy another machine or call out a repairman to fix it. A friend of my son had a CD of dishwasher repair info on it and that's where I got the info on how to fix mine. Mine took about 4 wash cycles and 4 different plunge sessions to completely get clean. You'll see a lot of small debris in the water. I took a regular fine tea strainer to get this goo out of the water after I plunged it loose.

The only screen you have to worry about is the big white plastic screen, not the mesh screen down in the drain itself. Don't bother with the mesh screen as that's not to be taken out of the machine. Just the white plastic domed shaped screen coverg the drain hole.

Thanks again Twink,
My dishwashera still no working, so it most be something else, the dial maybe going out, when it's running sometimes it does smell warm so I guess the plumber is needed.

Sorry about the machine. Apparently it is something more than the old clogged screen thingy. Could be the drain motor not working.
