I have been a piano tuner technician since 1974. I don't recall ever working on one that was a Cable Brothers piano. There are a number of others that do have Cable in the name. One of them was manufactured not to far from me in the state of Illinois. Are you sure of the brand name? If you look inside the lid at the cast iron plate, the actual name of the manufacturer should be there. Sometimes a music company that has been around for a long time will be allowed to have a piano made that has the name of there music company on it, but the piano is actually made by someone else. I don't have my resource books readily available though concerning the possibilities of the names on the pianos. Need to dig them out...

Concerning the possible monetary value, that would depend on a number of factors. For instance, is the piano tunable to standard pitch? Do you know when the last time it was tuned? If so, when? Where has it been stored or housed for the past number of decades since it was manufactured?

Many more questions and subsequent answers could follow...

I am looking forward to discussing this with you!

Thanks!
