Im currently in school for medical assisting. Part of our practices is giving each other venipunctures aka we draw blood from each other as part of our check offs. Well I got my blood drawn Wednesday and she went too deep. It hurt so bad, felt like it went through. Now I see a little bruising from the site. Recently (friday) I was cleaning my dining room chairs and I noticed when I took my hand out of my glove my finger tips were purple and they feel a little numb. I have no idea why that's happening. Guess I'm just wondering if this is something to really worry about. :(

I have a condition that is called Raynaud's phenomenon. It is very similar to what you are experiencing. What I have happen to my fingers is they get purple from lack of oxygen from the blood going back to the heart/lungs to get rewarmed. What I do when this happens is run warm water over my hands/fingers until the regular pink color in my fingers returns. Since you have been obviously brused there it will take a few days to properly heal up. In the meantime to help the healing, just do the warm water thing and your hands will be okay.
