Hi-hoping someone can help me. I have naturally dark brown hair that I have been highlighting for a while. I wanted to have some low lights put in to last longer with my new growth, so it wouldn't be as noticeable. Still leaving some high lights. Same stylist has done this in the past, but this time my hair has big huge chunks of black low lights, and the layers at my chin and below are black-I hate it, my twins are crying because they hate it-what can I do? The gold high lights I had are now caramel, which I can deal with, but can I get more of that or some gold added to the black. When I left I told her I thought she put too much dark and her response was to wash it and it will lighten some. It is permanent color, so I think she just wanted me out-I was the last client. I'm willing to go elsewhere (after 7 years) but can this be fixed? Please help-thanks in advance,
J

Even with permanent color, it fades eventually.

You could possibility get more highlights.

I'm no professional, but I have done this when my hair has chunks that are too drastic in color from the rest of my hair. Buy a color that is between your two colors. Do the color all over. The dark hair will lighten and your light hair will darken. It gets me through the crisis.
