"Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) tells People magazine in the issue out Friday that he and his wife, Michelle, do not give Christmas or birthday presents to their two young daughters.... No birthday or Christmas presents from Mom and Dad." Obama leaves the gifting to Santa - Mike Allen - Politico.com (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0708/12035.html)

Sorry George, I don't see anything that odd to discuss here.

Steve's right. George, knock it off. Christmas is personal time for Christians to celebrate with their families as they wish. If Obama celebrated Hanukkah now that would surprise me. But I could careless how any of the politicians celebrate the holidays (or the lack of celebration).

Exactly as in topic "Obama did it again" :
This topic provides a good view on the level (and lack) of real arguments against Obama.
What a hypocrisy going on here...

It also gives you an opportunity to see that some of us are more fair minded than we're given credit for.

Uh huh, right. It's funny how any attack on McCain no matter how insignificant gets a pass but raising ANY issue with Obama brings a flurry of condemnations. Sorry Cred, but some things ARE legitimate reasons to question a candidate's qualifications for president... regardless of how inane our friends in Europe think it may be. I realize you guys think we should take your opinions under consideration (http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=ZTJkNzIwZWQ5MTU3OWY2ODM2OWRkZjczYjVjMGU4Yjg=&w=MQ==) when electing OUR president but I couldn't care less what Europe thinks when it comes to our elections.
Seems most of Europe wants to have a say in everything we do while sitting on the sidelines with contempt and forgetting the sacrifices this country has made (http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=ZTAzZWIwOWYzMTg1YzkyOTllODM2YmU0OTdjZGVhNjg=) on your behalf as we again do the heavy lifting. No, I don't agree with the European sentiment (audacity/chutzpah, gall) that “it would be much better if the people of the world voted on the American president.” Fair-mindedness, indeed.

Well no I don't see any problem at all with them not exchanging gifts, there are a lot of things better than that. Many Christian groups don't exchange christmas gift
Now if you want to discuss his socialist views, his liberal stand, he idea of weak military, those are good attacks, but no, his family life is a sad excuss to bring up for anyone.
