I was having trouble with logging in to MSN Messenger so I uninstalled it from my desktop. I'm going to go online and install it again to see if it will start working. Several people in my office had the same problem and we're looking for a way back in.

Before I do the reinstallation, I looked in the registry and found a MSNMessenger folder. Should I delete this before I do the new installation?

This is most likely your problem.
I wouldn't be surprised if your local IT dept has blocked its use.
Best to ask them before you do anything else.

I agree with Curlyben. We block our users from using Instant Messaging programs since they are the most often hacked entry point into a company network. Actually, we don't give them access to install software because of the potential for licensing violations and the expensive fines that can be a result.
