Ok, so here is the deal. I am from Atlanta, but I attended Boston University in Mass during the spring of 2005. I worked during the time I was there. I then moved to New Jersey with my girlfriend and have been living there ever since( currently). I have had a steady job here, but have not yet changed my residency due to the fact I will likely go back to Boston next fall. Georgia is making me file a return, but I never worked there during last year. I am using turbo tax, and currently being double taxed ( New Jersey and Georgia) because I listed Georgia as my state of residency. If I don't list it as my residency, it will severely influence my auto insurance and student loans. Help Please.

If you are claiming Georgia as your residence, then you MUST file a return with them. However, you can get a credit for the NJ taxes you are also paying, so that will help negate the GA tax.

You don't get a credit for the GA tax on your NJ return, and you have provide copies of the other state's tax return when you file.
