Hey everyone :-) my boyfriend and I were friends for four months and then we started going out together two months then he broke it off because he no longer felt the same way about me and saw me more as friend... it really hurt when he said that but hey at least he was honest about it and didn't string me along... so anyway, when we were breaking up he said that he wanted us to stay friends(sure, everyone says that right? ) so I told him that we could be friends but that he should not contact me until I called him so that I can have time to get over him... and he didn't
Now, 13 days later, I called him just to say hi and we had a short catching up conversation which ended up by him seeing drop by soon(he's also my hairdesser so he meant to drop by the salon)... I am thinking of dropping by Monday, in six days, to fix my hair... is that too soon to see him? Might I get hurt? I don't feel like I will, but from everyone's experience is it too soon to see the ex after 2 weeks of breaking up?

That is really short, but hey if you can handle seeing him, more power to you. I couldn't handle seeing my ex on a friendly basis for months.

That's the thing.. I don't know if I can handle seeing him... the phone call was easy enough buy actual face to face contact I'm not sure... I usually think I am stronger than I am and put myself into situations where I end up hurt, I don't want this to be one of them!! But then again, I feel that I can handle it... I know I am a very indescive person :-P

Maybe you should wait then. 13 days is not a whole lot of time. It has been over 2 1/2 months since I got dumped and I know I'd still get emotional if I saw my ex...

Just know that you may end up backsliding in your progress of healing.. if you've been feeling good and all you might just want to leave it at that.. because if you end up seeing him you might end up right where you started.. lonely, hurt and heartbroken.. just give it some thought.

If you can't handle it then yes its too soon. Whenever you can view him as just a friend and nothing more and truly over your break-up then your ready.

Wait until your really sure, or until you need your hair done.

I gues I will wait a little more then... I am just curiouse to see whether seeing him will effect me or not! Maybe I should go with a friend...

Its been a month since my ex broke up with me, and I've seen her about 3 times. Not cause I chose to but because she was at the same parties I went to. It was very hard, and I kept on getting a twisting feeling in my stomach when I saw her

Put it this way, after all three parties I left way early, so maybe more time is for the best.
