Is there any country you should avoid going on holiday when pregnant? Me and my partner wants to go away and I know he is going to want to go somewhere far and I'm just a little funny about it when pregnant. Not pregnant I'd be there! Any advice?

Always wise to check with your doctor in regard to any vaccines that may be beneficial... they will likely have a list, or can get it for you, of the places your country currently deems risky. Some vaccines, that you wouldn't normally get, might be wise to have before going to some developing countries. Consider water quality when deciding where to go. Often times if you stick to hotels and resorts, things are safer, but you still want to be aware of any possible concerns. How foods may be processed/prepared is another consideration... fruits should be washed, might even want to consider only those that you peel the skins from as an added precaution... meats well cooked, etc.. Should it become necessary, what sort of medical care would be available in the places you are deciding on?
If you stick to developed countries, you will have less of a concern. Just keep in mind, water contamination is probably one of the biggest sources of illness... even in a country with good water treatment, it will likely be a bit different from that of where you live and can cause some temporary stomach upset... simply because your system isn't used to it. When in doubt, stick to bottled water and juices.
