Hi good day to all! My problem is about my 20 months old child.. At the age of 3 weeks old my baby undergone an operation. He was diagnose having a pyloric stenosis. At the age of 12 months old, he has skin allergies. So, the doctor prescribed him an antibiotic then the allergies was gone. But just recently, again he has allergy then the doctor prescribed him again an antibiotic a stronger one. My problem is that, I am worried of what is the side effects of the antibiotic to my child? How true that antibiotic can cause brain damage? Or growth problem of the child?

Antibiotics are to rid the body of bacterial infections, not allergies. Depending on the weight of your child, these dosages sound correct. They are very common antibiotics used for infection. It may be possible that your doctor thinks your child has an infection of one sort or another.

These antibiotics will not get rid of allergies.

**EDIT** I am confused as to why you think that antibiotics will cause brain damage or growth problems. This is not the case.
