I used to work for a Sprint indirect dealer and whenever we activated phones, we had to get special access pin codes to activate every phone. Sprint is very security-conscious when it comes to lost phones, etc.

As far as using that phone on Virgin Mobile, I highly doubt it; again, for the same reason. Sprint has the access code for that phone so it won't be available for use on another network such as Virgin Mobile.

Your best bet is to try and find out who the phone belongs to and perhaps that person will give you a reward of some kind (try finding any number stored in that person's phone and call it); if not, you'll feel better knowing that you helped out another person. Think of it this way, people's whole social life tends to be stored on their phones by way of phone numbers and I can tell you people don't always write important numbers down. Just consider that, my friend. We're all human and we should try to help each other out, know what I mean.

Yes, check last numbers dialed perhaps one that says home. Keeping a phone is not really honest, this phone belonged to someone and you should make an effort to return it.
