Boot in safe mode
Enter administrator account
Remove the user account and set new user with password

Many people have an administrator account created with a blank password and they don't even know it. Try that. If that doesn't work and this is the only administrator account you can access you'll have to try something else.

There are several third party add ons most are expensive and require a lot of technical expertise. Personally I like this process (click on the link below):

It's easy to understand, fairly quick, and you have all the tools you need if you have an reinstall CD. Good luck!
