Just bought a new refrigerator thinking that the old problem of the refrigerator side not being cold is gone.. but now its back and I'm wondering before wasting more time swapping units, what else could be the problem.. thanks

Lets see. You had a refrigerator/freezer, probably side by side. The refrigerator did not cool properly. You replace it with another side by side. The new refrigerator does not cool properly.

If that is correct only two things I can think of.
The evaporator coils in the back, if you have them there, are not getting enough air circulation to dispense the heat. Did you observe the space requirements of the new installation. That is space to the wall and space of the cabinets above if any.

Most refrigerator/freezers operate like this. The freezer compartment is cooled to freezing. The refrigerator is cooled moving air from the freezer to the refrigerator by ducts and fans. Do you have these ducts blocked by the way you place items in the refrigerator?

Yeah both side by sides.I have a cabinet above but it didn't become an issue in the years I been here.. no items blocking.. funny thing though is the refrigerator I replaced is outside and is now cooling nicely.. could it be there isn't enough power getting to the unit? My wife keeps bringing that up and is a headache.. lol.. I figured if its getting enough power to freeze it should have enough to blow over.. hmmm

If the old one is now cooling properly that just supports my theory, just don't know which one. Not a power issue but if you want to check, run a heavy duty extension cord. I understand the spousal thing.

Ran the extension cord from the same power source I used for the one outside... I have a kenmore.. it didn't blow air over the whole night and I'm wondering if it has a defrost timer? Its only a few months old...
