I am trying to negotiate a settlement for a credit card debt - they are saying I need to provide financial information to them as well - I live in the usa now for the past 5 years and credit cards are in Canada - I don't want to give them any financial information - I have already agreed to a lump sum payment? - Any help or ideas?

You don't have to relinquish any information to them regarding your financial situation.Your personal information is yours only. Keep stressing a lump sum payment and tell them it is your final offer. If they don't accept it, don't talk to them, don't answer their calls. I have no patience with these people, kennic. Stick to your guns if you have offered to pay them.
