I've had no luck with getting the wall remote on my Hampton Bay ceiling fan to work.
I was able to get the fan to work with the wall switch, but once I change out the switch with the wall remote it doesn't work. The l.e.d. on the wall remote is not even lighting.
There are 6 switches on the wall. The top 3 are for the outdoor patio's ceiling fan and outlet. The bottom 3 are for the ceiling fan and outlet in my living room (the room that I am installing the fan in.) Ruling out the first bottom switch that affects the outlet, I have tried installing the wall remote in various configurations in the other two. One switch has 2 black wires and a ground. The other has one red, one black, and a ground. Any ideas on which switch / wire combination I should be using? There is one red switch coming from the ceiling that I have not attached - there was no instructions with the fan to connect it to anything.
