If you marry July 9, 2007 can you file as single for 2007 taxes? If no, any repercussions?

It's your status on December 31, 2007 that entitles you to file as single or married - which is another way of saying if you married during 2007, no, you cannot.
What do you mean by repercussions?

If you are married in 2007, the you can only file as Married Filing jointly or Married Filing Separately.
