This is the age old question... How do I find out what I want to do with my life?

Be a cowboy, did you not always want to ride the range, feel the wind in your face. And smell the >>>> well maybe not. But as with the cows you do get the manure in every job. For anything you get in a job, you give something else up. You trade time for money, family for career, love of outdoors for a window office.
What do you really love to do, a hobby, a pasion for life. Now is the time to forget how others measure success and decide what job would make you happy.
And the church always needs new priest or nuns ( did not tell if male or female)

It could be worth your while finding a good career advisor.
A career advisor would initially talk about why you're there and what you hope to achieve together. They would then run you through a series of tests to gain a rough picture of your natural abilities and interests, then match those against possible career options (there are computer programs designed for this). A final interview would involve you making a few career choices to pursue (rough or otherwise) and setting realistic goals to take you along the path of achieving what you want. Following through with the same person after three months would also be helpful.
It would probably be ideal to visit a career advisor once every year or two.

Thanks so much... I guess sometimes I just need re-enforcement. Of course I have heard to go to a career adviser and do what I love before... but I guess I am freaking out with the anxiety of it all. I just want to do something great is all... and until now everything had been planned in my life. Now that it's time to make my own decisions, I'm undecided.
I just finished my college career as a student-athlete, and I'm passionate about being an athlete -it is all I have ever been- but I want to broaden my horizons. I have a bachelor's in Journalism and a minor in Spanish. And I'm a girl :)

That's a wonderful mix of talents (athletics, journalism & spanish.. wow) and achievements that will open any number of doors to an exciting career path (maybe not a cowboy or nun though, from what you say :) You have plenty to be excited about and look forward to.
It also sounds like a positive sort of anxiety, the kind that will take you to the next phase. Keep in touch and let us know how you're doing. I'd be interested to hear what you do next.

Did you enjoy journalism? Maybe you can eventual be a sports reporter and still be able to be around sports?
