I have a 1998 ford f150. The air conditioner does not plow cold any more. So I bought a can of charger for it. I found two ports one on canaster and one one line. The can of charger I bought is the right one , but does not fit the fitting. Fitting is two big. Everyone I asked said there is another port someplace that, that can of charger will fit on. Were is it. I can't find it. It was blowing cold and then hot and it went back to cold. Know it just blows hot air. Can someone help me.

There is a low pressure side and a high pressure side on your air conditioning system. If you were to hook your can of R-134 to the high pressure side it would destroy your can of refrigerant and possibly injure you. Find the other port. If you are not sure where to look check out someone's car with the A/C working. You will feel some cool/cold components. That is where the low pressure side is. This is where the port is that you should use.
Having said that, it's always a good idea to evacuate the system before putting freon in. It removes the moisture which destroys air conditioning components. Once you do that, you can also verify that your system is leak free by seeing how long your system holds a vacuum.
Good Luck!
