Hi I wanted to find out if a felony can be reduced to a misdemeanor 2nd degree assaut was the felony charge. And how soon should a person do that... my public defender told me we should wait till I finish my probation which was for 3 years paid my restituition. The attorney said it is a one time shot and the judge more likely approved it after you finish probation. I just wanted to get some more information on it... if that is what I should do. Because she said once the judge makes it a felony to a misdemeanor I can get it expunged... I think it s called a motion or a plea? Can some one help me with this and tell me what I shoud do thank you
