I received a letter from the IRS, stating that my daughter's father's SSN is flagged for intercept because he owes me back support. He has received both his fed. Return and stimulus. I called the IRS to find out why it wasn't intercepted and was told they would not speak to me due to the privacy laws. When I called the enforcement unit for child support, they gave me the run around, saying it would take a month or two to investigate. I know several people that this has happened to(not getting child support owed to them, even though it is court ordered), why is it that the IRS supposedly flags the SSN, but he still gets his refund? What can I do to get the money that I am due?
