Hello Folks,

I have just purchased a very old Tru-Test Rototiller. It does not have the original motor. There is a lever that engages the tines by pushing a pulley tight against the drive belt. That pulley is rusted and not working very well. Any suggestions on where I might be able to find another pulley. Thank you very any help.

Model?

That pulley may have a bearing that can be replaced. You can try WD-40 to see if you can free it up. One free it needs proper grease.

Thank you for the reply. I was able to free it up but it is still turning very rough. I was not aware that I could replace just the bearing inside. I will see what I can do. In the meantime, WD40 and grease will have to hold me over.

The bearing will likely have to be pressed out. Check out boca bearing wheels custom wheel at boccabearing.com (http://www.boccabearing.com).

With a full model number, you could see if Parts & Accessories | Shop & Find Lawn & Garden, Appliance Parts at Sears Parts Direct | SearsPartsDirect.com from Sears (http://www.searspartsdirect.com) would have it.

You can post a picture using "go advanced" and we might be able to help you more.

Finding the bearing the hard way. Measuring with a micrometer, might take some work.

Carry it to a parts house and match up the pulley.
