How do I take RCA jacks from like a playstation and input the signal to use my laptop screen for the "tv" so to speak I know how to do the sound but the video is the hard part so if some one could help me I need to know if there's an adapter for a RCA to Usb or firewire to go into my computer I've seen the ones in like radio shack for capturing but I don't know if its for like a live video source also if I could make an adapter if you can help thanks

Most laptop hardware is designed to output a video signal. To input a signal directly, the video hardware needs to support it, otherwise a capture device is needed. For real time display, USB and Firewire capture devices typically aren't fast or smooth enough for play. What I'd suggest you try is a TV tuner PCCard something like AVerMedia AVerTV CardBus Plus (http://www.avermedia.com/avertv/Product/ProductDetail.aspx?Id=165) if your laptop supports it. I'd also suggest you talk with the manufacturer of whatever you decide to buy first as they could best suggest a product for your specific application. The specific combined hardware/software package is important if you want to get full screen display. The unit I referenced shows the TV input in a viewer application that may have a maximum resolution less than your laptop's display. You'll have to decide what's acceptable to you and then do some product research.
