Hey,
I want to know why I get all depressed and upset the day after I've been out partying, I've had a really good and fun time in town that I miss it like crazy the next day when I'm at home alone with my mom then I get depressed because I want to go out right away again and be with in the crowd. I don't go out much because I live far away from the city and its so expensive but I when I do go out and have such an awesome I just get upset the next day. Why? What can I do to help myself just feel happy about such a great night and to think there's many more of those nights to come?

Do you drink alcohol while you are out partying? Alcohol is a depressant and it a common to feel down the day after drinking.

You are depressed because you probably had a killer hang over the next day and all of your problems that you had prior to partying didn't go away after. I'm assuming you drink alcohol at these parties?

Another reason could be that you obviously don't like being alone. You can change that. Do you have friends that you can spend time with when your feeling lonely? What about your mom? Is she that bad? Sometimes, being alone and having *your time* can be very rewarding. At times I feel lonely when I'm at my house but I hate feeling that way so I do things (movies, listen to music, go on the computer, have some ice cream, call friends/family ect) to keep my mind away from feeling alone.

Be careful here.. I see some warning signs that could be really bad..

You didn't mention if drinking was in the mix.. do you drink when you go partying?
If you need alcohol to have fun and let loose, that is not a good thing..

Can you go out with your friends and actually have a great time without drinking?

If you can answer that trufly with a yes, then I think you are just feeling lonely and sad that you are so far away from friends.. it's normal to feel that way.. but you can do things by yourself that are fun.. paint your toenails, watch a funny movie, make scrapbook of the pictures of you and your friends.. I believe that a person should be OK with just being alone.. you don't always have to be doing something wild and crazy...

Ok so if you can't go out without having alcholol.. I really believe you have a problem or this may be a start to a problem.. and like they said above alcohol is a depressent, so that could be why you're feeling so down.. please don't use alcohol as a crutch.. it is not something to be taken lightly and you don't want to bring problems to yourself in the future.. alcoholism is not a fun thing to deal with.. it could kill you

Well, one way why you could be depressed is that if you drank at the party, you might feel sad that you don't have other fun people to drink with. Or maybe after going to parties you are still in the party mode when you get home.

Is it possible that you feel depressed due to guy not contacting you after you "made out with him"?

If that's the case then forgot about him and next time control your urges. All because you like someone it does not mean you have to "make out with them" and they'll respect you more. Life is all about living and learning.

That is why teenagers should stop drinking and use their brain...

You made out with a guy.. he doesn't contact you.
Guess what?

Grow up and understand that guys at parties are going what is between your legs...

This person said nothing about a guy- why are you assuming? Sometimes it's just that you look forward to something and it goes by so fast that after it's over you wish it wasn't. That's not uncommon.

Maybe if you read her other post you'll see why it was brought up. All her questions relate to the same thing and all posted minutes apart. After you read it you'll see no assumption and that's why I question her feelings and ask if this may be the cause.
