My husband recently told me that he has had numbness on one side of his mouth, but over the past ten years he has been dealing with pain and numbness of his left leg. Pain also takes him often at his forehead. A few years ago he was diagnosed with having high blood pressure and cholesterol. He has changed his eating habits and little exercise, but his work is very stressful and demanding. He works seven days a week. He also suffers with insomnia almost every night. He falls to sleep very easily but is up all hours during the night. He is 61 years young.

He could have had a minor stroke. HIgh blood pressure and high cholesterol are certainly causes for strokes. You say he was diagnosed with both, but is he taking medication for both conditions. If not, I would highly recommend that he does get on a medication regime with his doctor. 61 years old is really too young to be having the complaints you describe. More exercise such as walking 2 or 3 kms a day or four times a week is very good for bringing down blood pressure.

I strongly urge that he go back to his doctor for complete blood workup before a complete physical exam.
