My 5 week old puppy was given the pavovirus vaccination 2 days ago. Since, it has not been eating and appears to be very weak physically. She does not have any energy to do much other than sleep all day. I fed her ESBILAC through a seringe as suggested from my local pet shop, but it only upset her stomach evenmore. She vomitted green liquid and barely has any energy. I am think of taking her to the vet first tihing tomorrow morning. In the meantime, can someone please advise. All suggestions are welcome. Thank you!

Blood test before parvo meds is usually done. Without doing this and giving the meds would make a dog really ill if the dog possibly has parvo without checking first. I doubt very much if you should be giving her anything recommended by a pet shop and just get her to the vet ASAP. I don't think waiting till tomorrow is quite good enough.

Did the vet do blood test first ?

Tickle, thanks for your reply!
I took the puppy to the Vet early this morning and the parvo virus results came back positive. The only option for me at the time was to allow the vet to do the treatment and wait to see how she responds tomorrow morning. I hope that she respond well to the treatment, as you know it gets very expensive once it stays in the hospital for multiple days. Any suggestions?

There is nothing else you can do but leave her in the vet care. You can't treat her at home, her temp will go sky high and you won't know how to deal with it. You being anxious would not do her any good because she would sense that too and respond by trying hard to be the pup you know. Just let her be quiet, cared for at the vets. I know the expense is tremendous.

Keep your fingers crossed, my dear. I guess you caught it just in time!

Thanks! I will leave her at the vet's care and wait for the results.
