I was wondering if anybody had any message board suggestions for people who are looking to reconnect with birth families/adopted children.

I am seeking connection with my Grandmother or anybody on that side of the family(if they know of the adoption that took place) I know it was a closed adoption but my mother stated that there was a piece of paper that she had the option to fill out that stated if she wanted contact or not and the mother could have done the same but she never bothered.

Generally, if you aren't the adoptee or birth parent, it's hard to make connections, especially with closed adoptions.

The three websites I usually suggest are adoption.com, adoption.org and the ISRR website (I can't remember the http offhand, but if you type in "adoption ISSR" in a search, you'll find it).

Yeah, that's why I wanted to look at message boards for the off chance that they might post there.

Thanks for your response!

This is not considered a message board but a Q&A site. People aske questions and, hopefully, get answers.
