We are purchasing a home and are readying it for the appraisers. Unfortunately since it is Michigan this home has been winterized. We had a lot of water pressure but leaks in the pvc. Now that the leaks have been fixed we have no water pressure. The same size pipes were used to fix the leaks but still no water pressure. Not sure if the water heater even filled up with water and the bathroom and kitchen sinks do not want to get more than a trickle going. There is a hand pump next to the well pump. When we open the spigot on the hand pump the pump kicks on and off but when we close the spigot the pump shuts down. It trickles to the kitchen and bathroom but no pressure builds up. The water heater is electric and we are not real sure if it is even filling up. There was a breaker next to it and we did turn it on. The water heater does work but we aren't getting any hot water from it either and we aren't sure if it is filling up or not. Does any one have any idea where we should look next? We can't afford to hire a plumber to come look at this so that isn't even an option. Thanks.

Look for a shut off valve between the well pump and the tank.
