Hi we have a HP Notebook and it won't hold a charge. We checked the battery & the charge and neither one are the problem.

My thinking is something with the hole that the charge plugs into on the computer is broke. Sometimes it will say it's charging and if you make the slightest movement, something knocks it loose.

Any help?? If it's going to cost a lot to fix... it's not worth it to me.

You probably have a short in the cord.

Common problem.

If you can wiggle it a little, and get it to charge, I suspect that is the cause.

Could also be a loose connection inside the computer.

How did you check the battery and charger?

My HP laptop is on it's 4th power cord. The part that goes into the laptop keeps going out. And replacements are CHEAP. It's not even worth worrying about. Technically, I'm stressing that part ALL day since I work exclusively on the laptop most days.

Give me your make and model # and I'll see if the guy I buy from has one for you. HP wants $90 for the cord/kit, I paid $22 last time.
