I understand that they will give you updates on a particular site. I like to read certain blogs and their comments, but get lost sometimes and end reading stuff repeatedly.
Can you explain it to me in simple terms? What do I need to set one up? I looked it up on Wikipedia and it wasn't much help.
Thanks!

I don't know that I can add anything that Wikipedia didn't cover. A web site maintains an XML text file in a certain format (the "feed") containing a list of recent/new content. Your RSS reader accesses that file, provides you with a pretty formatted list of articles, and provides a means to view them. Most current web browsers function as readers allowing you to "subscribe" to a feed as well as many email clients such as Microsoft Outlook.

Also, check out Google Reader - I use it for my RSS subscriptions, and check them every day.
