Hello Mimi !

Are you really prepared to change your eating habits and start exercising ?

Begin with a visit to your physician. That is essential!! Speak with him/her what you intend to do, and ask for advice. Also ask for a diet plan.
Also ask for your specific ideal weight. This is related to your length and your body construction. He/she will give you a target weight. Keep that as your focus.

There are no miracle ways to instantly losing weight. Only marketing people suggest that to sell their products.
Slimming has two sides : one is taking in less energy. The other is spend more energy.
If you take in more calories than you spend, you gradually increase your weight.
If you take less calories in than you spend, you gradually decrease your weight.
That is : if your body operates in a normal way (i.e. for instance if you have no thyroid gland problems). Another reason for your visit to a physician first.

As to lowering the intake of calories : stop (yes: STOP) eating or drinking anything that contains sugar.
Eat less. What I have seen as individual food portions in the US, elsewhere in the world feeds a family of 5!!
Eat more vegetables : preferably raw. Eat more fruits. Drastically reduce eating potatoes, pasta, rice, hamburgers, chips, cookies, fatty food, and anything that is deep fried. Also no more fatty items, including anything with mayonnaise. Drink and eat only low fat milk products and zero sugar liquids. Drink every day at least 2 liters of water.

Reduce also eating meat and other protein sources, but keep eating them, as they are needed in several processes.

As to increase spending energy : go to a gymnasium (sport school) and start exercising.
Build up a program of activities in consultation with one of the trainers. Train hard and long.
You can also add to that exercising by starting to run at the sport school, and extend that later by running outside in the fields or a forest.

You did not say if you are male or female, but if female make sure that you always run with someone else on the roads.

Reducing your weight should not go too fast. Give your skin time to reduce skin surface. You did not get fat in 2 months, so do not try to become slim in 2 months either. It does not work that way.

Once you are fully in your slimming plan, you will realize how hard you have to exercise to burn the energy you took in via your mouth. A single hamburger requires about one full hour!!

I wish you all the best. And once more : FIRST A VISIT TO YOUR PHYSICIAN !!!

the question is how bad do you want to lose weight? Do you want to lose it and keep it off? Are you disciplined and determined?
you must first understand that your weigjht depends mainly on your bone structure. If your are a size 16 and want to be a size 6, it may not be possible as your bone structure may not be made for that size. Understand that you are just entering the teen territory and your body will change.
so you want to lose weight? Here are some tips.
--estimate your calory needs. To do this you'll need to do a little math.you can assess your basal metabolic rate (aka bmr) then cut calories or burn extra calories and shoot for a level lower than what you get from the formula
---for female; 655+(4.3 x weigth in pounds) + (4.7 x height in inches) - (4.7 x age in years)
---for male; 66 + (6.3 x weight in pounds) + (12.9 x height in inches) - (6.8 x age in years)
---with this formula u will know the amount or calories your body needs to function every day.
----now you have to reduce your calory intake, for instance if u take in 500 000kj a day and your body needs like 4000kj you have to start eating less gradually until you get to the point where you take exact 4000kj or less.DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF. Any weight lost as a result of starvation is quickly regained.
----i want you to lose weight and keep it off and still enjoy some treats.
----now you will have to move... a lot. You will have to jog, do a brisk walk for at least 35 minutes. This will keep you heart rate up and you will sweat.
----i believe that the more sweat you get out the more pounds you lose.-
----drink water... a lot.if u weigh 2000ib then u multiply that by 0.6 that means you get to drink 1200 ounces of water per day. The water helps your meatbolism and curbs the amt of food you can take in. (if you are filled with water where is the room for excess food?)

using this method I dropped from a size 12 to a size 6 in three months. If u stick to it it works

in summary, calculate the amount of calory your body needs, count the calories you take in and reduce it to the level your body needs, exercise like crazy, drink water like a carmel and lose weight.

remember if at any point you exceed the total amt of calories you need and you don't execise to burn it out, you will gain weight.

best of luck!

The Atkins diet is good for people who have a high percentage of body fat.

The theory behind it is that your body burns carbohydrates to keep you going, when you don't eat any carbohydrates, the body turns to fat stores for energy. This way your weight loss is 100% fat and not muscle or bone density (as is the issue with every other dieting method) You just have to stick to a diet of 85% meat until you've lost 50% of all the weight you want to lose, then slowly start adding carbohydrates back into your diet. On the induction phase of the atkins diet, you can eat 20 grams of carbohydrates daily... and you may stay on this phase of the diet from anywhere between 2 weeks to one year.

Now 5 radishes contain ONE gram of carbohydrate. So you can eat about 100 radishes a day, and they are high source of fiber which is something that you NEED to keep your poop regular. I was constipated for my first 3 weeks on the atkins diet so make sure you take some fiber. They are also extermely cheap, about $1.00 a day is enough.

I recommend sashimi for the atkins diet. I usually lose .5 pounds a day but when I eat sashimi (raw fish) I lose 1 pound a day. Raw fish is also about 80% protein and 20% fat. Also note that wasabi and pickled ginger contain no carbohydrates... Soy sauce contains a little bit depending on the brand.

Good luck, and let me know how things go!
