I came off the pill in march and had no period in April but in may (45 days later) my period came on. My periods in June and July have both been a cycle of 29 days exact. My husband and I are trying to conceive and I have been have sex around the 14 to 17 day before my expected period my ovulation day being around day 15 with my 29 day cycle. I also watch out for the cv mucus and have been taking opk's which was actuate with a true blue line around the time we had sex but still not pregnant. I don't understand what could be wrong since I seem to be doing everything right. I'm so fustrated with all of this baby making stuff I'm soon going to my doctor if nothing happens soon. Any advice?

It takes the average couple a year or more to conceive, so hang tight. You've only been trying for a few months, most doctors won't even run tests at this point.

I know it's hard to hear, be patient, it will happen, relax, but that's exactly what you need to do.

Good luck.

Pipper:

Altenweg is right. Usually, couples take about 6 months - 1 year to get pregnant... and if you've been on the pill for quite some time, it takes a bit longer for the body to adjust to the hormone levels. Keep on trying, try to be as stress free as possible; remember, it's supposed to be a joyful experience.

I would suggest, however, going in for a visit to the fertility clinic. There, they can give you a physical and then give you more pointers.
