Just answer your same question on immigration forum... read the answer on I-751 there.

Requesting for Medicaid, not only effects your ex but also jeopardizes your immigration status. It's not fair for your ex... by the laws, he is responsible for you until you leave the country or become US citizen. He is not the baby's father, and he is not a bad person. If you get Medicaid, the government will go after him for the sum paid to you.

Important things, the consequences are USCIS will immediately know of your whereabout and arrest warrant will be issued in less than 6 months. If you don't want to spend big $$$ with bail bonds and immigration attorney for deportation case, don't go there. Having a baby who is US citizen by birth does not mean you can stay in this country legally. If you're deported, you must choose whether you are going to take the baby with you or leave the baby in foster home in US.

The baby's father is the one who is responsible for medical bills.... if he refuses, you must go to court.
