Hi,

I really would love any advice possible. I drained the water tank to change a washer on the bathroom tap and now that I've refilled the tank, water no longer enters the cistern of the toilet. I don't know whether this is down to an airlock or a blockage in the inlet pipe.

This is probably a very simple job so would love to do it myself, plus haven't had a toilet now for 3 days.

The water tank is located in the ceiling of the bathroom above the toilet. Has anyone got any ideas that I can try tonight to get the water flowing back into the cistern.

I'm not a plumber so not too much lingo if possible but I would really appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks in advance!!

:-)

Hello can you post a picture so we can see what the fillvalve and the shutoff valve look like?

Let us know what ballcock that you have. My bet's on the one with the can instead of the one with a float ball. Back to you, Tom
