I had a judgement renewed 4 months ago for a sears credit card 7 years ago. Never heard anything except they renewed the judgement. I live in Pennsylvania. The other day out of the blue I got a courtesy call the lady was very nice and asked if I could pay something didn't matter what the amount is I said I had to talk to my husband. They never mentioned a bank levy or anything like that. I know they could do that. Our joint account was my husband's and when we got married I was put on the account. Should I pay something or just let it go or should I ask the lady if there is a bank levy ready to be put out there?

First answer is yes, you should pay your debts.

However, the "pay something, no matter how much" could be a way for them to hope you send a personal check so that they CAN obtain your banking information.

They have the judgement, they can attach your assets at any time. I agree with Progunr, this could be a ruse to get account info from you. But the bottomline is you should pay your debts so maybe set up a payment schedule and pay by money order.
