Can you give me some advise please

Smoking while pregnant produces low birthweight babies and that causes other problems. I would suggest quitting immediately for you and your baby.

I am going to give it to you straight and this is from the heart and the total trueth.

My daughter born 5th oct 05 weghing 2lbs 9oz 8 weeks prem I smoked while pregnant with her. I do believe smoking was a huge factor in her being so ill the way I look at it is this, you have the choice to give them the best start in life you wouldn't light one and give it to a toddler so why smoke while your pregnant I must also say 15 months on I haven't even wanted a cigi.
My son born 17th jan 08 I quit smoking the day I found out I was pregnant a very healthy 6lbs 13oz 9 months later no health problems just a perfect little boy.
If you really want it you will do it I wish you luck.

I was 3.9 at birth... full term. Odds are it was due to my mother smoking... which at the time it wasn't yet known of the possible effects. Other potential concerns: some types of birth defects, issues with the placenta such as premature separation, health concerns for baby simply due to being low birth weight and/or born prematurely.
Certainly there will be those who say they smoked and their babies turned out just fine... just as you will have those people who are 90 and smoked most of their lives, but of course neither of those examples negate the well documented health risks.
Good luck with quitting... be sure and ask your doctor for help if need be as there are many aids to assist you if necessary.
