Whirlpool dryer won't start. Don't know why? I was using it. it was working. after the timer went off I restarted it. it started. then I went back and checked my clothes, they were damp. Pushed the start button again. and the dryer did nothing. I don't understand why? Is there a reset button if so where exactly is it?

Is there electric to it? Breaker tripped? Fuses blown? Still plugged in? Could be a faulty timer, start button, door switch, motor, drive belt... The possibilities are many and unless you are familiar with reading schematics and electrical troubleshooting you best call a repairman. I don't know the model of your unit. But there is no general 'reset' button that I know of.

Whirlpool electric dryer - less than 10 year old.

Will not start. Tried replacing the thermal fuse, no luck.

How do we replace the door switch?
