I signed up for Google toolbar, which lets me carry my bookmarks list to whatever computer I am using, which I find very useful. However, I can't figure out how to open a Google toolbar on another computer. I have it open on my laptop, and there is a Google toolbar under the Internet Explorer toolbar. It has a star that I can click and pull down my bookmarks list. However, at work, someone deleted the bar somehow and I don't know how to get it back. I'm currently circumventing the problem by keeping a tab open where I am signed onto iGoogle. Of course I keep accidentally closing the tab or going to a different website within the tab.

I sure hope this makes sense to someone and that he/she can help me out here.

The easiest way to get to those bookmarks is to set up your own Google Personalized Homepage. iGoogle (http://www.google.ca/ig) (Google Mail address needed)
From there you can add a Bookmarks module where you can access all your saved bookmarks. You can even add a Firefox extension to quickly save a page to your Google Bookmarks.

I have a Google homepage, which is what I am using at work. BUT, I did have a "toolbar", (at the top of the window, with various icons etc) that had a star icon I could press for my Google favorites. I am using my Google homepage to access my favorites, but I prefer the icons.
I *had* the toolbar, but now it's gone and I don't know how to get it back.

Try right-clicking on the toolbar area, it should show you all the available toolbars; if you see the Goolge toolbar then put a checkmark there and it will appear. If it does not appear there then it is not installed and you will have to re-install it: Google Toolbar (http://toolbar.google.com/T4/index_pack_xp.html)
