Depending on the climate between 75,000 and 100,000 it won't cause the engine to self destruct as some 80 model years put it will leave you stuck on the roadside.call the local dealership for their recommendation and price. Feel free to have another mechanic do the work but use the dealer for info.

Didn't realize that they could go just like that. I could always tell when mine was going.

The service interval is 105,000 Miles to replace the timing belt. Sooner would be good insurance: this is an interference motor. That means if the belt fails while the engine is running, there would be internal damage.
