View Full Version : Frigidaire Gallery Stove F1 fault code

I have a Frigidaire Gallery Self Cleaning Convection oven (Model PGLEF387AB1 - Canada), with no operator manuals. (can't imagine why anyone would throw them out, but that's a different gripe!).
Earlier this week, after a ~15 second power outage, the display showed error code "F1". Stovetop still works, but none of the oven control buttons (or oven light, or clock set) do.
I reset the breaker hoping that would 'reset' something, but that didn't work. Still 'F1".
Online search indicates this is likely an 'electronic range control'. I am game to try most anything, but have no electrical knowledge/experience. Is there anything I should try / check before just calling in a repair person? (is it something I could likely do myself?)
Thanks,
Ev

To read or get a manual :

Sears on-line website (http://www.managemyhome.com/mmh/rails)

Found an operators manual online (thanks for the links - my model number appears nowhere, but found one very close). Unfortunately, all it says about the Fault Code is to "record the code and contact an authorized dealer".
The main 'gist' of my question was just whether there was anything I should try before calling someone in.
Thx,
Ev
