OK here it goes. I have had diarrhea for about 9 days now. No breaks. Just straight up diarrhea everyday day. Waking up in the middle of the night, being late for work because I'm on the toilet. Now I know that I have an ulcer and that might be the cause... but could there be any other cause? I have also been quite emotional lately, crying on a whim. I've also been unusually clumsy and getting frustrated easier. Are there any medical repocutions to having diarrhea all the time? Thanks for the help.

Dehydration is a major concern, make sure you drink plenty of water. Have you gone to the doctor, having diarrhea for nine days is a sign that something is going on, you need to get checked.
Good luck.

Thanks. I don't have any medical insurance... and I, on a normal day, would have the money to go... but I am trying to crawl out of debt and I have all kinds of $$ flying everywhere so I can't really get to the doctor for any EXTENSIVE testing. I'm going to let it go for a few more days and if nothing changes I think I might go anyway. As you said, something is not right.

Have you had any culture tested for your stools. It could be a bacteria infection. If that is the case, you need to find out if that is what is causing this. If so, then depending on what it is you will need medicine or just let it run its course.
Your health is more important and should be more important then worrying about debt. Sorry but you need testing no matter what. If you leave it too long, who knows what could happen.
9 days of diarrhea without being seen by a doctor is WAY too long!! I understand your plight with insurance and money right now. However, if diarrhea does not cure up in 2, maybe 3 days, it warrants being seen by a doctor.
It could be caused by any number of things, as Joe mentioned, a bacteria infection, but dehydration is your worst enemy and can cause things as dangerous as kidney failure.
Please get into that doc.

Thank you guys for all your answers. Today was the 10th day of it. My husband advised me to go into the doc as well. I think I may do so. Thank you.
