So my sister thinks she has strep throat... shes 26... she says its hard to swallow.. she feels like her her throat is smaller than usual.. she says it takes her time to actually swallow... she feels like she constantly has to clear her throat.. when she coughs its like a dry cough... her head feels a little warm... does she have strep throat and please don't say go see a doctor I just want to know what u think lol

Okay, I will say what you do not want me to say. Tell her to go see the doctor and get it checked out. That is the only way to know.

As far as the symptoms are concerned. Does not fit strep throat from what your describing.

Unfortunately, I am going to say what you don't want to hear. There is NO POSSIBLE way to tell whether she has strep throat without a throat culture, and a throat culture has to be done by a doctor. If she does have strep throat, then she will need to be on antibiotics.

Guess where she gets antibiotics... You guessed it... A DOCTOR!!

Now, it could be any number of things from a cold to allergies to post nasal drip. But only a doctor can diagnose her properly.

Now, if she DOES have strep throat and does NOT go to a doctor, she could get a very serious heart condition called Rheumatic Fever. It could damage her heart permanently. You wouldn't want that would you? You would rather her see a doctor, wouldn't you?
