I've tried researching this to no avail (or no answer that I want to hear). I had and endometrial ablation almost 7 years ago. I just turned 35 and now would like to have a child. I am back to having pretty regular light periods which leads me to believe by endometrium has/is growing back slowly. Can I get pregnant? Are there any ways to rebuild my endometrium to support a fetus?

Can only go on what I have read and heard, and depending on how your procedure was done, it doesn't appear the odds are in your favor. While conception may happen, sustaining the pregnancy appears to be the most difficult part due to the compromised uterine lining. It seems that it can happen, and a full term pregnancy can result, but the odds are minimal. Hopefully someone will have had success with it themselves and can share their story with you... but of course you certainly would want to speak to your doctor, or better yet a reproductive endocrinologist, and get their take on it.

Hello. I had the surgery done in 2002. I recently got remarried in November and we just found we are pregnant. I am only 6 weeks along. I found out we were pregnant after bleeding badly from taking aspirin for headaches. Since then I have stopped taking the aspirin and no more bleeding. We have show cattle - so I am on a weight lifting restriction and that has seemed to help also. We are to see the specialist on Aug. 5th. The baby is growing and I am praying everything will work out OK. Feel free to email me and keep in touch. :)

Can you give me an update? I have remarried a man who has no children, I had my procedure a year ago and have not had a period since, I am desperately wanting a baby.
