My fiancé and I are getting married in December of this year. He has a daughter (if his daughter he hasn't had DNA testing done yet) who is 13 years old, she will not talk to him, neither visit him. She's honestly more like the B word, but my question is once we get married will the mother come after me for child support. They were never married they were only boyfriend and girlfriend years ago. Is there any legal action to ensure she doesn't try to touch my hard earned money?::confused:

How exactly do you go about forcing a DNA? My fiancé and I believe she may be hidding something like her not being his child.

First, no, she can't go after your income for child support. You have no relationship to this child.

Second, If he is on the birth certificate as the father, then its probably too late to change anything. To force a DNA test would require going to court to establiush paternity. But if he signed the birth certificate, then the courts would likely hold him to be the legal father even if he's not the bio father.

Do not open any joint accounts with him.

If she hasn't come after him for child support before this is the only reason you think she will now be because of you working?

Is his name on the birth certificate?

If she files for child support HE can challenge his paternity at that time and then they should do a DNA test to prove paternity.
