We currently own our home, the 500 gallon tank was there when we bought our house. The gas company claims they own the tank, we have nothing from the seller telling us any different. They have been charging $3.68 in March per gallon. We have made arrangements with another company to sell us our own 500 gallon tank. When we contacted the current gas company they asked us how much gas was still in the tank, we told them that the regualtor is at 32%. They told us that they would come and get the tank but it would be at least 3 to 4 weeks before they could come and get it. They also told us that we would not be reimbursed for that 32% of gas that is in the tank that we paid cash for. And that they could charge us $102.00 to remove the tank. We never signed a contract with them nor did we ever received a handbook. We filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals office, when they contacted the gas company, the gas company claims we signed a contract and were given a handbook on their contract and rule and regulations. We didn't sign a contract nor did we received a handbook. This company is based in Manheim Pa has anyone come across and issue like this?
The new gas company said they could legal take the old tank and sit it off to the side of our property and put the new tank in and hook it all up, then call the old company to come and get it.
We also found out the gas tank that's in our yard right now was hooked up wrong and that they can't believe we haven't had and explosion.
