I have a H.B. ceiling fan that has suddenly begun to go haywire. When I turn off the light fixture, the bulbs continue to flash. I check all my connections (black to black, white to white, red capped) and made sure they were tight, capped, and taped. Any suggestions?

Is it a remote fan?

Yes, it came with a remote, no pull chains. It is a Harbor Breeze.

When you say flash, do you mean right away, rapidly, or later on?

Have you tried changing the frequency of the fan and remote as per:

Changed battery, can't locate dip switches on fan? Not under canopy. If I have to take the stinking thing apart, might as well replace. It has an upper and lower light.

Do you know what model fan it is? They are probably in or on the housing.

If you are going to replace, go with Hunter (less expensive) or Emerson (more expensive).
