Well later that night I noticed when I put my hand on her hip, my cat had tightening of the muscles beginning. It felt alsmost like a vibration, but you could feel kind of a strain. Are these contractions?

A contraction looks like she is squeezing from her ribs down toward her hips as she does this you will see her back leg that is on the top, or facing toward the ceiling stretched out straight. It almost looks like a strange sideways sit up. As her whole mid section will roll down toward her hips.
